French Shield & Flag Transfers 2
31 Shield & 3 Flag medieval French transfersÂ
13th Century French shield and flag transfers covering French Kings, Princes, Lords, Barons, Counts, Viscounts and knights.
The sheets are a good mix of Nobles who fought in some of the major conflicts of the late 12th to mid 13th Century, from the 4th and 5th Crusades, The Albigensian Crusade to eradicate the Cathar heretics, Battle of Bouvines, the Barons war and the War of the succession of Champagne. This is just a sample of the many nobles who fought in these conflicts. Many are lost to history as we have no information about them and many of these listed we have only limited knowledge and we hold our hands up if a few errors have crept in as tracking down family heraldry can be a very complicated process with a lot of conflicting information. In some cases we can only list the family name as the individual names are not listed.
